Senator the Hon. Chris Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research announced on 19 July 2012 that the Australian Government is committed to continuing to invest in workforce development and training opportunities under the National Workforce Development Fund (NWDF). Through the NWDF the Australian Government will provide $700 million over five years to industry, to support training and workforce development in areas of current and future skills need.
The purpose of this briefing session is to provide an overview of the NWDF, eligibility criteria, funding opportunities for training and workforce development, the application process and the contractual and reporting requirements for approved projects. TLISC will showcase current NWDF projects across the transport and logistics sectors to illustrate the range of projects which are possible under NWDF.
Interested organisations within the transport and logistics sectors (i.e. road transport, warehousing, rail, aviation, maritime, logistics and ports) are invited to attend.
This briefing will give you an opportunity to ask questions and raise issues in relation to NWDF for us to address.
Please RSVP to Sally Wagnon, firstname.lastname@example.org and clearly state which session you wish to attend. For catering purposes, the cut-off date for RSVPs will be three business days prior to each session. We ask you to include your name, position, business and contact details in your response.
