ACER needs your help – Assessment Tool trials

ACER is interested in hearing from interested VET and employment services providers to be involved in trials of the Foundation Skills Assessment Tool (FSAT). The trials are essential to the success of FSAT as they ensure the final assessments are valid, reliable and fair.

The trials will continue to run for the forthcoming months until sufficient learners have trialled every question – ACER aims to have a minimum of 200 different learners answer each question in order to provide valid psychometric data to verify the quality of the assessments. This means they need many thousands of learners to participate in the trials.

Although ACER has received many expressions of interest in participating in the FSAT trials, they still need many more learners to undertake the trial assessments. New skill areas including Listening and Learning and Core Skill for Work assessments have just been released.

The assessment is suitable for all VET learners and trainees, not just LLN learners.
