Transport & Logistics Training Package Update

Industry stakeholders have added a number of key improvements to the Transport and Logistics training package products, as part of the transition to the new training package standards and review process.

  • The Licence to transport Dangerous Goods (DG) formerly known as: “TLILIC3013A Preparation to transport dangerous goods by road” has had an extensive review by industry stakeholders and has been on the TLISC website for comment. It was also presented to the regulators who oversee the transporting of DG. The next step will be to prepare this unit for endorsement.
  • The Taxi Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is currently reviewing the feedback on the 8 units that relate to the Taxi industry in the Certificate II Driving Operations. The units will be available for viewing on the TLISC website later this month.
  • The 13 High Risk Work Licensing units are currently being reviewed by Safe Work Australia and their members
  • The Driving Instruction steering committee members continue to review the 3 qualifications and associated Units of Competency. This is has been a robust process, which has engaged all state and territory regulators, the Australian Driving School Association and other key stakeholders.  The review is progressing well and our next meeting will be held in Sydney on 18 June 2015.
  • The transition of the 5 Materiel and Deployment Logistics qualifications is now complete and is now progressing through the editing process as part of the Case for Endorsement.
  • The transition of the International Freight Forwarding and Customs Broking qualifications has commenced, with the steering committee meeting to review the 4 qualifications and associated Units of Competency. This work is progressing well
  • The final qualifications and associated Units of Competency to be transitioned include:
    • TLI22413- Certificate II in Furniture Removal
    • TLI33313- Certificate III in Furniture Removal
    • TLI33413- Certificate III in Waste Driving Operations
    • TLI42513- Certificate IV in Traffic Operations
