ENGINEERING AND ENGINEER WATCHKEEPING

Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council › Engineering and Engineer Watchkeeping

TLISC has commenced the alignment of the Engineering and Engineer Watchkeeping units of competency to the new Standards for Training Packages.

For more information about the Standards for Training Packages and the approach TLISC is taking to align their Training Packages with the Standards please click here.

Project Overview
The following qualifications and relevant units have been aligned to the Standards for Training Packages:
  • MAR50213 Diploma of Maritime Operations (Engineer Watchkeeper)
  • MAR60113 Advanced Diploma of Maritime Operations (Marine Engineering Class 2)
  • MAR60313 Advanced Diploma of Maritime Operations (Marine Engineering Class 1)

The qualifications have been structured using a core plus elective model, which provides greater flexibility of choice while still addressing AMSA and STCW requirements. Every care has been taken to ensure changes have been made to meet these requirements without changing the overall outcome of the qualifications.
