Why does Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council collect personal information?

Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council’s primary function is to develop, manage, market and implement the nationally recognised training system for the Transport and Logistics Industry. In order to do this we maintain a comprehensive contact database so that consultation can occur as widely as possible.

If you subscribe to our E-Newsletter your details are added to this contact database. We may then, from time to time, contact you in relation to workshops, seminars, surveys etc.

We also collect data to provide broad advice to the government and industry. Data is combined and general statistics are generated. Individual information is not provided.

As the Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council produces publications, we will also monitor the accessing of these publications.

Security of Information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information confidential, secure and protected from misuse and loss, from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure in accordance with our internal procedures covering the storage, access and disclosure of information.

Where we no longer require your personal information for a permitted purpose under the National Privacy Principles, or where you request us to do so, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it.
