RAIL OPERATIONS

TLISC has commenced the alignment of the TLI10 Rail Operations units of competency and qualifications to the Standard for Training Package.

Project Overview

  • TLI50613 Diploma of Rail Operations Management
  • TLI42413 Certificate IV in Rail Safety Management
  • TLI33113 Certificate III in Rail Customer Service
  • TLI22313 Certificate II in Rail Customer Service
  • TLI32813 Certificate III in Rail Yard Coordination
  • TLI32611 Certificate III in Rail Signalling

Units of Competency

  • 98 units of competency that are associated to the TLI10 qualifications listed above.

The project is expected to be completed by June 2015.

The TLI Transport & Logistics Training Package Release 1.0 was endorsed on 12 October 2015.This Release includes the following qualifications along with aligned Skill Sets and units of competency:

  • TLI33115 Certificate III in Rail Customer Service
  • TLI33015 Certificate III in Heritage Locomotive Assistant or Steam Locomotive Fireman

  • TLI32315 Certificate III in Electric Passenger Train Guard
  • TLI22315 Certificate II in Rail Customer Service

The TLI Transport & Logistics Training Package Release 1.0 was submitted to the Department of Education and Training on 31st August 2015.This Release includes 8 Rail Operations qualifications, 7 skill set and associated units of competency.

Transport & Logistics Training Package Release 1.0 – Draft Components are now available for viewing prior to being submitted to the Dept. Education and Training for endorsement.

This Release includes 26 Rail Sector qualifications, 53 Skill Sets and 439 units of competency.

Draft TLI rail qualifications, Skill Sets and associated units of competency are now available for viewing and comment. Qualifications and units of competency have been updated to meet the Standards for Training Packages, better aligned with industry requirements and incorporate many of the suggested changes that were gathered during national consultation. Draft rail qualification, Skill Sets and associated units of competency will be available for comment on the TLISC website until TLI V01 Training Package is endorsed.
