What is your role with TLISC?
Finance Manager

When did you join the transport and logistics industry and what have you done?
I have been involved in Finance roles at in a range of businesses since Graduating from University both as a direct employee and when working for a specialised Accountancy practice, a number of the business I have worked with were involved in Transport & Logistics. I joined TLISC in May 2014; my focus throughout my career has been on ensuring Financial & Regulatory compliance, implementing systems & processes to improve business information and reporting.

How did you become part of the VET industry?
When I joined TLISC in May 2014.

Tell us about your work-life before TLISC.
Initially I worked in Finance for a large company in Melbourne and moved to Perth with that business, I returned to Melbourne and worked in finance roles before joining a specialised Accountancy practice where I looked after a number of customers in the SME sector.

What training and education have you undertaken?
Bachelor of Economics, Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), MBA, and various employer based courses in Leadership & Management.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Just do it

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Implementing systems & processes that provide accurate business information to assist in business planning and decision making. Meeting all my deadlines efficiently and effectively.

How do you spend your time away from work?
With my family, reading, running & cycling.
