What is your role with TLISC?
Training Products Development Officer
When did you join the transport and logistics industry and what have you done?
I joined TLISC in February 2015 and I strive to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including administrative support to the Business Services team. I have undertaken data analysis and problem solving – delivering effective results, conclusions and proposing strategies for improvement. I also review and coordinate Nationally Endorsed Training Package products, which include Training Packages, qualifications, units of competency and skills sets in the Transport and Logistics industry. Part of this role is to update the Training Package Content Management System (TPCMS) for the National Register currently TGA (training.gov.au).
How did you become part of the VET industry?
Through my qualifications I had the opportunity to enter the transport and logistics industry at TLISC becoming part of the VET industry.
Tell us about your work-life before TLISC.
I was doing voluntary admin work for the Australia, New Zealand and Mexico Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
What training and eduacation have you undertaken?
I have an undergraduate degree in International Business and a Masters degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Be positive and don’t give up!
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Developing my career and working with valuable people.
How do you spend your time away from work?
Traveling, exercising, cooking and watching my favourite TV series with my partner.
