Laurie is President for Human Resources for Linfox which is Australia’s largest privately owned Transport and Logistics Business. In this role Laurie has responsibility for Human Resources, Recruitment, Organisational and People Development, Industrial Relations, Workplace Safety, Workers Compensation, Regulatory Compliance, Corporate Communications and Sustainability.
Laurie has extensive experience in Human Resources, Operations and Employee Relations. During his career Laurie has worked with a number of Australia’s leading blue chip enterprises including Qantas, Hawker De Havilland, Mayne Nickless and Aussie Home Loans.
Laurie holds a Graduate Diploma of Labour Relations and Law from Sydney University and has completed the AICD Company Directors Course.

Jon established the ‘The Thought Group’ in 2007 which provides specialist services in project management, supply chain and infrastructure markets. Key projects have been in the design, delivery and implementation services to the Logistics Industry both in Australia and Internationally.
Prior to starting this business Jon had senior executive roles with leading Australian Transport and Logistics organisations Linfox, Toll and Mayne Nickless. In these roles Jon has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, managing complex mergers, acquisitions, divestments and the development and execution of new start up international operations.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Business in Transport and Logistics Management, Graduate Diploma Value and Supply Chain Management, MGSM Advanced Logistics Program and AICD Company Directors Course.

Ron is currently the Principle Manager Learning Services, within the Organisational Development Branch which is responsible for providing a complete range of L&D services to the Transport for NSW cluster.
He has an extensive background in Learning and Development with a focus on training design, delivery, assessment and program evaluation. He has worked in the L&D area for over 30 years, predominantly in the Transport industry and is passionate about ensuring that employees have the competencies required to perform their jobs.
Ron’s contribution to Learning and Development is acknowledged throughout the Transport Industry and his expertise and outstanding contribution to the industry was recognised in 2010 when he was awarded the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Australia, Professional of the Year Award. He has also made a contribution to the industry through his membership of broad range of Boards and Committee’s including, CRC for Rail Innovation Board, ARA Rail Workforce Development Committee and the ARA National Rail Safety Worker Governance Committee.
Ron holds sn Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Advanced Diploma in Management and a Diploma of Training Design and Development. Ron has completed the AICD Company Directors course.

Mick is International Executive Officer of the Maritime Union of Australia. He has had a long career in the Maritime Industry including various roles in the sea-going component of the sector as a seafarer. Mick has performed senior executive roles including managing bargaining negotiations with industry enterprises, representing members in industrial tribunals and presenting to international industry forums and conferences for his current organisation for over 30 years.
Mick has held a diverse range of board roles including being a Director of the Melbourne Port Authority, Australia Maritime College Search Limited, M,M&P Credit Union, SERF Superannuation Fund and Seafarers Rehabilitation & Compensation Scheme (Seacare).
Mick has completed the AICD Company Directors Course.

Devinder is currently an independent consultant to the international transport and logistics industry.
Recent commercial experience includes being the General Manager Infrastructure for Cashmere Iron Ltd and General Manager Commercial for Esperance Ports Sea and Land. Earlier, commercial experience includes logistics operations with Cargill, Stolt Nielsen, Silver Line and V-Ships.
Academic leadership positions include being the Executive Director Business Development and Industry Engagement, Canberra Institute of Technology, and Head of Maritime and Logistics Management, Australian Maritime College, where he also founded the Transport Research and Policy Centre.
In the public sector, Devinder was Director Maritime Capability, Office of Transport Security, DOTARS, during 2004, when the maritime security regime was implemented.
Devinder has led several strategic projects, including advisory roles to a number of government agencies in South East and East Asia.
He is a Master Mariner class 1 and holds a Master of Science in Ports and Shipping and also a PhD that addressed QA systems in the UK freight transport industry, both from the University of Cardiff. He has completed the AICD Company Director’s course.

Michael is the Assistant National Secretary of the Transport Workers Union. In this role Michael has overarching responsibility for enterprise bargaining on behalf of the organisation with numerous employers and industry peak bodies and in addition manages the organisation’s finance, research and policy units.
With a legal background Michael has previously worked for the Crown Solicitor’s Office with a focus being on contract law, industrial law and litigation. He has served as an Alternate Director of an Industry Superannuation Fund including being a member of the fund’s investment committee. Michael has been a Director of the Transport Education Audit Health Compliance Organisation a not for profit company dedicated to providing research, health and skills initiatives to the industry.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales. He has completed the AICD Company Director’s course.

Bob Nanva is National Secretary of the Rail, Bus and Tram Union. In this role he has had responsibility for managing bargaining negotiations with industry, negotiating sustainable productivity reforms with enterprises, creating and implementing a new strategic direction for the organisation and reforming national governance arrangements to meet best practices.
Bob also served as an elected Local Councillor (Burwood Council – NSW) where he played a key role as part of the management team that strategically planned for a significant population increase in the municipality which included reforms of planning instruments to allow for suitable infrastructure housing. In this role Bob was also a decision maker in determining the financial strategy and allocating resources in a challenging fiscal environment. Bob has also had experience as a Ministerial Advisor to both state and federal politicians.
Bob graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Macquarie University. He has completed the AICD Company Director’s course.

Bob is the Senior Industrial Relations Manager for Farstad Shipping (APAC), one of the largest employers of mariners in the Australia, and is currently responsible for Farstad’s Industrial Relations and Employee Relations. Previously, Bob has held several positions within Farstad’s Human Resources and Learning and Development department.
Bob served in the Dutch army in various roles in the field of Operations, Logistics, Human Resources and Learning and Development, with a strong focus on people management and team development.
Bob holds a Master of Workplace and Employment Law from Monash University, a Master of Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Business. He has completed the AICD Company Director’s course.
