Our 2011 is well underway, but first an update on our current Package AVI08 version 3.1.

A minor change occurred last year with a name change to the Diploma of Aviation (Grade 2 Flight Instructor) After Industry and regulator feedback it was agreed to change the name to Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor), which better reflects the job role and skills required as a newly qualified instructor.

During the first half of the year our focus will be on the endorsement of AVI11. It is also great to see inquires from existing RTOs to have our Flight Instructor qualifications included on their scope of registration. As larger numbers of Flight Training Operators are becoming RTOs it is expected that this will lead to the greater use of the Aviation Training Package. A number of these operators have included our Diploma and Advanced Diplomas (Flight Instructor) in their applications for RTO registration.
