The Logistics & Warehousing Advisory Committee meeting on the 25 March was conducted and a new CIR for Logistics & Warehousing is now available.

Work has commenced on a stream for the Diploma of Logistics for Bus Operations, a steering committee has been formed from a cross section of bus industry representatives. The steering committee will discuss the content of the stream within the diploma.

Work has commenced on the Reach stacker LIC unit of compectency with an national assessment tool to follow once the reach stacker unit has been approved by the regulators and industry.

Tara Jenkin, the Training Package Development Officer, visited Holcim Australia in May to discuss the operate agitator vehicle unit. The visit was a great opportunity for Tara to visit first hand one of the leading stackholders of the cement industry to obtain valuable information from a company perspective on the current job requirements and skills required for this sector of the industry.
