Financial Incentives to Upskill Older Workers

This initiative was one of a suite of new programs available to help mature age people remain in employment and to share their skills with others. These programs were known collectively as Experience+.


Eligibility requirements for the funding include:

Employers operating in Australia who employ a mature age worker (50 years +) under an Award or Certified Agreement for at least 15 hours per week, AND who employ (or hire through a Group Training Organisation) at least one apprentice or trainee who works at the same location/site as the mature age worker,

OR

Small business owners operating in Australia who are themselves mature age workers (working in their own business for at least 15 hours per week) AND who employ at least one apprentice or trainee who works at the same location/site as the small business owner.
