National Workforce Development Fund (NWDF) – additional funding available through Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council (TLISC) for 2012/13
The coordination of the NWDF is now under the administration of the Australian Workforce and Productivity Agency (AWPA) and TLISC is looking for applications to support this program. Enterprises and associations are encouraged to identify their current, future business and workforce development needs to determine whether they can be supported for funding . The funds support the completion of full qualifications or Skill Sets for existing and new workers in priority areas of need.
The NWDF is a major component of the Australian Government’s ‘Building Australia’s Future Workforce’ package. Over the life of the program, the Government will provide $700 million to industry to support this program.
During the first year of the program 42 TLISC projects, spanning all T& L sectors, have been successful in obtaining funding.
The next allocation of funds from the program are now available and interested employers, Employment Service Providers, Professional associations, industry bodies and lead agents representing a consortia of enterprises are invited to submit applications.

Applications will be assessed on completion and the Workforce Development team is available to support you in the development of your application.
All training approved for funding must be completed by 31 December 2014.
